We don’t have Winter because we are in a tropical country but I’ve experienced cold weather during our stay in the US and in Hong Kong where I experienced 9 degrees and 10 degrees respectively and it is no joke. You can die if you don’t suit up the proper way to protect you from the weather. During December, a lot of the countries experience Winter and people in tropical countries like the Philippines don’t know how to prepare themselves for the cold weather so here are a few tips to follow if you are like my friends who will be staying in the US this Christmas for the first time:

• Layer with thin layers first like light fabric that will wick sweat away from your body. Avoid pure cotton, linen, or other similar materials, however, because these fabrics retain moisture and will chill you.
• Layer a sweater after the first layer, it can be knitted or a sweatshirt.
• Add a thick coat or a jacket after the two layers.
• Always wrap a scarf to protect your neck.
• Put your hat and/or ear muffs if it’s really freezing, especially if you are going outside for a long time.
• Keep your hands warm with gloves of mitten.
• Wear proper jeans or socks plus leg warmers if you should.
• Don’t forget those boots. I was looking at really nice leather Lucchese Boots and I think leather is one of the perfect boots to use and also those suede ones to warm your legs and feet very well.

If you have the proper attire for the cold season, you will definitely enjoy Winter even if it’s below zero outside. Good luck!

Winter is starting and I heard from a friend who lives in New York that it snowed there already and she wasn’t even prepared for Winter, she only has some Fall clothes in her closet and even still has some of her Summer clothes. I told her I saw a columbia jacket on sale. She searched for that online and found a couple of jacket sale online and she will be buying for her and her husband in preparation for Winter. I think she found really nice deals online. If only we have Winter, then it will be so much fun to buy a couple of boots and Winter clothing for me and my boys.

A friend of mine is attending a wedding this March and it is a formal wedding. She is planning to buy a nice formal dress but the problem is that she has limited budget so I told her why not go to a shop that makes dresses and look for an online store that has really nice bridesmaid dresses and have it made by the dressmaker.And since this is one of my favorite past time, viewing nice dresses online, I helped her out and saw a couple of good stuff. From all the choices I gave her, she loves these dresses…

I think both will look good on her.

Both are nice. Yes, we are friends, childhood friends to be exact but we are way so different in taste but we both agree that Christian Louboutin is a great brand!

I have enough shoes, I really don’t have a shoe fetish. It’s just not my weakness but I love taking care of my stuff and shoes included. Here are tips:

• Spray new shoes with a waterproof protector.
• Add taps and half-soles of rubber to the bottoms.
• Alternate pairs.
• Clean the insides.
• Wear hose or sock liners.
• Use shoe trees.
• Polish leather.

I actually call them wraps. Belts to most of us. I don’t wear them often but I am actually wanting to buy 2 pieces just so my old black leather belt takes a rest once in a while. I’m not a keen belt user. I don’t care how it looks since I don’t tuck my top most of the time. The middle part of my body usually is hidden anyway. But lately I wanted to maybe buy something similar like these…

I love Twitter. I discover so much from friends online including discovering so many sites like this cool Fashion site, Go-Trendy. They ship only in Singapore but the determined shopaholic like me, I emailed them and asked if they can consider shipping here in the Philippines, not yet, that’s their answer but they are actually planning on going international so that shoppers like me can purchase from them. I hope they do that soon. Found 3 tops I like and hopefully my friend, Jacq from Singapore can help me get this.
