Chat with a Friend

My friend works in a hospital in the United States and she is bragging about the social security disability insurance they have with Allsup. It has been paid for through thier FICA taxes. Allsup has a 98% success rate for those who complete the SSDI process with them, she continued beaming. Allsup appreciates how difficult it can be to get the Social Security disability benefits that each person deserves. People who choose Allsup usually get their SSDI award faster. Allsup only charges a fee if they obtain Social Security disability benefits for them. They can help you get the SSDI benefits you deserve, whether applying for the first time or appealing a denial. SSDI is provided by the SSA to people who qualify and have paid into the system (FICA taxes). I wish we can have such privileges here. Our country is a third world country but benefits like these should not be neglected. I had colleagues who experienced so much but didn’t get any enough disability pay. If we have something like Allsup can offer life will be worry free.

Very Bed Weather

There is the scorching sun during the Summer and there are those unexpected rain showers during Rainy season. What is the weather today? Very rainy and I love it. Though I saw a lot of roadside assistance on the road this morning, maybe because of the heavy rains, it did not bother me. I forgot my umbrella and it’s my first day to go back to work after my 15-days leave of absence and I must say, the bed weather didn’t help this morning. Our A/C is blasting right now and I am having a hard time lifting my butt to walk because I am very sleepy. I got used to taking a nap after lunch with my son, I’m fighting my sleepyhead.  hope tomorrow will be a lot hotter. I love the rains, only if I am at home.

Back to Work

I am back to work today. There have been so much changes here at where I work while I was gone. Here are a few in bullets. :D

  • I saw some wireless cctv cameras in front of the main gate where the pedestrians enter.
  • We should wear our IDs at all times.
  • Our Out-Patient Section was redesigned, waiting patients are now seated in the hallway. If you ask me, it looks crowded.
  • Most doctors are on-call. They leave their post when there are no patients to attend to.
  • Our television in our section is busted. Now it feels so quiet in here. Leaving the noise to the air-conditioner.
  • The new camp commander is strict (from what I heard). Yikes!

I don’t miss this. I miss my time at home with my son, I should be taking a nap right now with him. Hay.

His Cake and More

I was talking to a long distance friend last night and she is about to prepare a simple birthday party for her daughter but since it’s a budgeted event she is actually concentrating to the food and the cake but we got so involved talking about insurance marketing which is what she is into right now, she just actually started as an agent and she talked about learning to be credible and have fresh ideas in their competitive world. Then we also back tracked in time and reminisced our college days when we were just carefree and no worries like vaccines, pre-schooling or diapers but we both agreed in the end that nothing compares to the experience of being a mommy even if our younger days are also fun and exciting. Anyway, after all those topics we went back to the party preparations and since she is busy being a new agent and being a mom all at the same time, I suggested to just hire a caterer, since she wants to have a simple party but with delicious food, maybe 3-5 viands is already okay then she just have to look for a nice cake and I suggested an ice cream cake, it’s like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone, you get a cake that her daughter can blow a candle with plus ice cream for everyone after singing the birthday song! She loved the idea and then I showed her my son’s birthday ice cream cake which doesn’t look different from the real cakes…

This is from Dairy Queen and I bet there are prettier and more delicious ice cream cakes in the US.

Avoiding Bad Posture

I was talking to my husband and was complaining of some body pains here and there. He was joking that I should find natural arthritis treatment already, my age is no secret but I don’t think 33 (almost) is very old. I was chatting with my online friend, Glo and got a few advice in maintaining a good posture when I’m using my laptop. She doesn’t think I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome but might have Tendonitis instead but could lead to CTS if I’m not careful and wouldn’t do anything about it. So right now, I have 3x a week of paraffin treatment at work in our PT section and as much as possible I regulate my time online. I don’t go online unless I really need to do something and manage my PC time to relax my wrists. I need to find ways to practice good posture, I tend to slouch a lot and search the right ways in positioning everything on my workstation including the chair and the laptop.

Seeking More Opportunities

A friend of ours got laid off from his job. These days, jobs come and go. You have to be wise and save up. My brother suggested that my husband seeks job elsewhere. He was actually suggesting to look at the Philadelphia Job Search. He knew a friend who got a job from searching there. Since the husband knows a lot of technical stuff in fixing computers, laptops etc. He might get a good job in the US and he can take us there. Something I actually dream about. It’s really tough to get through a third world country and with what’s happening with our government, somehow people are losing hope around here. I actually love being here, but if it means not growing and prospering for our family, might as well seek more opportunities elsewhere. I hope 2010 will be a better year! May God be with us!

Redecorating

We have a new boss. You know in the military environments, military bosses come and go. So today we have a new Commanding Officer and since he is an Ophthalmologist hhe is more aware and concern of our office and he found little flaws in the office so he is requesting a tiny bit or redecorating which means we will be needing several cardboard displays that could be useful as well and then maybe some stuff going away and a lot of throwing away of records that are more than 5 years old already. Now I am tasked to find a store where we can buy the stuff we needed. Good thing I saw creativedisplaysnow.com which offers so many designs, my searching will be a walk in the park!
