Lemon for Beauty

Lemon is usually used to quench a thirst. I love lemonades and they can be great during Summer but did you know that Lemons can be great for your skin, hair and just basically to make yourself beautiful. Cheap, easy and effective. Here are some of the tips.

1. USE LEMON FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN - For brighter, softer skin use fresh lemon juice on any area of your body, including the knees, elbows, and face to brighten up and soften your skin. Lemon juice also fades freckles and age spots by applying lemon juice on the areas before going to bed at night. Over the course of a week or two, it will cleanse the skin and lighten its color.

2. USE LEMON TREATMENTS FOR THE HAIR - To make a hair conditioner for dull, damaged hair combine 3/4 cup Olive Oil, with 1/2 cup raw honey and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Use the mixture by combing the lemon juice mixture evenly throughout already wet hair. Then cover hair with a plastic cap or bag for a 1/2 hour. Shampoo and rinse this conditioner out of your hair.

3. USE LEMON FOR NAIL CARE - For strong, shiny, bright fingernails soak your fingernails in lemon juice for about 10 minutes. Then brush your fingernails with a nail brush dipped in a mixture of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 warm water and then rinse with warm water.

4. USE LEMON FOR NATURAL TEETH AND BREATH TREATMENTS - As a natural breath freshener the citric acid from lemons destroys odor causing bacteria. You can quickly rid bad breath by squirting a few drops of lemon juice into your mouth, swish it around for about 15 seconds and then swallow it, or drink lemon water during the day, to freshen up your breath anytime!

5. USE LEMON FOR A BODY DETOX TREATMENT - Lemon water is also great for detoxifying for your body. In a glass, mix the juice from a lemon with warm water and sweeten with 1 tsp of honey. Lemon juice aids your liver in flushing out unwanted toxins, stimulates blood circulation, reduces arterial pressure, and activates bile and intestinal secretions. So it’s a good idea to drink lemon water daily.

I will definitely try all five. I already have lemons in the fridge.

it is advisable for you to take of your shoes and socks once you are seated at your desk to give way for air circulation. Making Them Smoother

My friend recommended a site where I can find the best rated products to remove acne scar. Frankly, I’m really scared of trying products online because I don’t know if they re really safe. There was a friend who tried acne treatments from the internet but unsuccessful only to spend so much. My online friend advised me to read reviews and product testimonials before I order since most of these reviews are really reliable. I want my scars to disappear but of course I want a safe process. I don’t want to try anything only being sorry after.

Beauty Education

A lot has been said about beauty but still experts should come from institutes like that of a Cosmetology school in Maryland where in my friend is going to study. We should leave things to the experts and when it comes to beauty, we should rely on the experts themselves to give us sound advices if we want to be pretty on the outside. I actually realized this when I had my haircut, at first I hated it, but the stylist told me that he wants to cut it the way he did and profoundly outdid the one I want from the photo I showed him was because my face has a different shape than the girl in the photo and after a few weeks, people complimented of how I lost weight, but frankly, I didn’t but my haircut did wonders and my face appeared slimmer than before.

My friend is actually excited in going to her new school. She will experience precise education and extensive practice before facing the real world since I heard that the school is patterned to real high end salons plus they will have real customers while in school. I wish her luck and I hope when she is finish, she will be willing to get her hand on my hair so I can get professional help from a pro stylist friend in the future.

Get Rid of Pimples

I have been very lucky that I found a soap that I think is the reason why I have been acne free for 4 months now. Thanks to my Daddy who discovered it for me. You see I’ve been searching for the best adult acne treatment for ages. Sometimes I want to go artificial and most of the time I want to go organic and just look for natural remedies for acne. You see there are home remedies for acne that we didn’t know. They are just sitting in our kitchen cupboards!

  • Oatmeal Mask, just like aloe vera, even oatmeal is one of the effective acne home cures. As oatmeal helps in absorbing the excess oil from the skin, you will surely observe reduction in your acne. The process of preparing oatmeal solution for acne is quite simple. First, you have to cook the oatmeal as you prepare it for consumption. Once it is cooked properly, mix ¼ cup honey to it and let it cool completely. After it becomes cold, apply thoroughly over the areas which has been affected by acne. Wash off your face with water after ten to twenty minutes, but not longer than this as it may become difficult to remove the acne. This is said to be one of the best back as well as chest acne home remedies.
  • Nutmeg and Milk, one of the really good acne as well as acne scars home remedies is by applying a paste of nutmeg and milk. Take nutmeg in a small bowl and add milk to it. Stir the mixture till a smooth paste is formed. Apply this paste and leave it for one to two hours to see a considerable difference in acne marks.
  • Lemon Juice, is also said to be an effective way of treating the problem of acne. One of the overnight acne home remedies is to apply lemon juice on the acne affected areas at night and wash it off only on the next day. Another way of doing this is by applying a mixture made of lemon juice and rose water for half an hour. However, people who have very sensitive skin should avoid acne treatment with lime juice as it can worsen their skin condition. Read on home treatment for acne.
  • Honey, using honey with turmeric is one of the best cystic acne home remedies. You can make a paste of both the ingredients and keep it for 20-30 minutes after application and then rinse with lukewarm water. Other than this applying a paste made with honey and sandalwood or cinnamon is also said to be a good home remedy for curing acne. Read more on cystic acne home remedy.

I’ve been a natural remedy advocate when I was in high school, I used to put aloe vera and milk on my face once in a while and my face was flawless then. Maybe I used start being an advocate once again and try some of the things I read and posted here. Then maybe, just maybe my skin will be a bit blemish free even if it wishful thinking. :D

Forever Searching

As you guys know, I’ve been searching for the best acne treatments for my face for ages. I miss my clear skin when I was in high school, that’s what people noticed about me, I have rosy cheeks but that was before now that I’m almost 33 not only do I have pimple scars but my freckles and dark spots multiply through time. This is me…

My skin has improved compared to this photo but of course the pimple scars and the dark spots are still there and now that acne is not my problem anymore, I aim to seek help of finding a way to lighten my dark spots and freckles.

Here are some tips I found online:

Age Spots

The most important thing you can do is to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Reduce exposure when possible and wear a sunscreen that has a SPF of at least 15. Wear hats when outside and cover up with clothing when it’s practical to do so. Remember, though reduced, the sun’s rays also penetrate your skin when it’s cloudy. Looking for a natural solution? Due to the fact that lemon juice has a high acid level, it’s no surprise that it will help peel off layers of skin. This will either lighten or remove age spots completely if you rub it on your skin twice daily. It will probably take several weeks to see improvement, so you’ll need to be dedicated and patient.

Freckles

If you have freckles, you  probably either love them or hate them. Before you go on a “search and destroy” mission, consider the idea that they can be fun, and many guys are attracted to them. Some girls envy those with freckles! For those who prefer to fade your freckles with natural home remedies, there are many things you can try. Since the sun’s rays enhance freckles and dark spots, stay out of direct sunlight whenever possible and use a sunscreen with the highest SPF available. Things to try are lime juice, lemon juice, and fruit and vegetable masks, such as apricot and cucumber. No one method is sure to work on everyone. Similar procedures may include those that fade age spots.

I will definitely try the lemon technique. Maybe this is the answer. Which reminds me to look for a high SPF sunscreen… I never put anything on my face, maybe a sunscreen is high time especially with my age.

Hair Care Myths, Exposed

When I reached my 30s I started losing more hairs. So I am always in search for hair loss prevention that will help me maintain my think hair. It’ sin our genes. My mom when she was young had think hair but now that she is in her 60s, her hair is really thin, she is not bald unlike her brothers but it runs in our genes and I’m a bit conscious about it. Anyway, I just want to share this one I read online…

Wash your hair less often. For those with extremely oily hair who shampoo twice a day, cut back to once; if you shampoo daily, try every other day. It takes two to three weeks for your scalp to adjust the amount of oil it produces. If your hair feels uncomfortably oily in the meantime, wear a ponytail or a thick headband?and think about what you’ll do with all that extra time in the morning.

Use just two shampoos. You might have heard that hair can become “bored” with a shampoo and conditioner if you’ve used them for too long. And it’s true that hair can seem lifeless after a month or more of the same routine. A buildup of conditioners may be the culprit, says salon owner Johnny Lavoy, but “the good news is that you don’t need to fill your bathroom with four bottles of shampoo to rotate every week. Using a clarifying shampoo twice a month or so should correct the problem.”

Eat your way to healthier hair. If your hair is looking more like a wire fox terrier’s than a champion golden retriever’s, you should consider your eating habits. Biotin, a B vitamin found in many whole grains, liver, rice, milk, and egg yolks, “is a key vitamin to make your hair stronger,” says dermatologist Marianne O’Donoghue. Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins E and A can also have an impact on the overall health of the scalp. They can be found in fish, vegetables?oh, and kibble.

Now, I’m used to most myths. Then again I might be wrong. :D
