OMG

O’ my Gloss. Yeah I am raving about Smashbox’s O-Gloss.

Online friends who love make up recommended this product to me. I am never a lipstick girl or even a lip gloss girl so you can say that I was a bit skeptic to purchase this 22$ product. You see when I use lipsticks or lip glosses my lips end up getting chappy or dry even if what I use is a high end brand lip product. My lips just don’t get used to lip chemicals, I guess. I also tend to lick my lips and get conscious if something’s on my lips so I end up wearing nothing at all. But I love how this product blend with the natural moisture of my lips. This innovative formula goes on clear and then reacts with your personal skin chemistry to instantly transform into your own custom shade of pink. Impossible but true. I was surprised that even if the gloss is clear, I still get the tint of pink my lips have only a little brighter, really cool! Anyways, I recommend this product to ladies like me who are not so comfortable wearing something on their lips.

Gotta run it’s Sunday tomorrow and I will be going back to work on Monday, I need to research about mesothelioma for work. Happy Sunday!

3rd EM Loot

Actually I haven’t tried any of the makeup samples I ordered, just the mint corrector which works okay for me. Not astounding but I can use it to cover the light reddish spots on my face but I guess the spots are too dark and too many for the mint corrector to do it’s magic. It’s just not enough. Sigh. Anyway, here are my small loot…

Lip Balms for free

I have yet to try their finishing powders and eyeshadows and I want to buy more brushes from them. I am actually making a list for the things I want to buy in the States and with my limited budget? We’ll see where that takes me. So much things I want, I can include a diet pill or two maybe? I hope my diet works so I don’t have to. ;)

My Fave Make Up Guru

I saw something online about Michelle Phan having a surgery to make her eyes look bigger by doing something on her lids. Actually, I have no clue if the before and after pics are true, must be the make up, besides she’s good at it. But what the heck, with or without the surgery I think she’s really pretty and very feminine in her own very kikay way. She’s one of my faves (and I only have a few faves), what can I say!

Here’s her before (surgery daw!):

And after:

I think she’s pretty in both pictures anyway. What the heck! Who cares right? Well, what I care about right now is get great a receipt printer for work. Caio!

More to Try

I have another set of eyeshadows that I need to try and practice on, not that I already tried all my latest NYX shadows but this one is a palette which won’t be hard for me to combine and think of nice hues that will go together…

The Lancome palette on the right side of the picture will soon be tried and tested by yours truly. If only I have the time to put it on at night and practice but when I usually get at home and gets busy with my son, all I want to do when he’s already sleeping is sleep as well. I need to practice or these great stuff will just go in the drain and who wants that right?

I need to talk more about something else like the Outer Banks or something or this blog will be all about vanity and to tell you frankly, I don’t consider myself vain, as in vain to that extent! If you know what I mean. :P

NYX Faves

I have 2 faves so far. What’s NYX? You may ask. It’s a make up brand. Yes, I’m into make up right now, though I don’t wear much. I’m still aiming for the natural glowing look but I don’t want my face to look plain nowadays, I want some color so I ordered neutral colors in lighter and darker shades like my first NYX loots…

L-R: Eutopia, Earthy, Slamon and Egg White

The Swatches on my Skin

L-R: Egg White, Salmon, Eutopia and Earthy

My faves so far are the Salmon and Egg White. I have yet to show it on my lids, as soon as I perfect putting make up on my face. LOL. Right now, I’m just having fun doing swatches, it’s just too much work for me, I make a mess in our bathroom, many colors go in my towel and after swatching a lot goes to the drain (my dollars too LOL), water was pouring so long I thought our undermount sink was giving up on me but no, it didn’t. Thank God! ;)

My Latest Haul

Glo apparently sold to us tons of NYX eyeshadows and lipsticks in VERY reasonable prices. Plus we had some items bought that we shared just to save money since we can’t consume an item by ourselves better share them and save some moolah too. I’m also excited about this item…

Two Faced Shadow Insurance, which is actually a primer to make your shadows stay in your lids longer and so that it won’t crease after a long period of time. I’ve heard great raves about this product that I actually paid for my share, with the rest of the bebots. My eyeshadow fades after 2 hours and I’m just curious to try this product. It’s pricey at 17$ so I’m glad I shared the item with 3 ladies. :)

Cover Girl’s LashBlast! I don’t have mascara and with the raves I heard, I got this. It’s actually buy one take one so Joy and I paid for it. I hope it will really make my lashes appear longer and hopefully it will help the curls stay on longer.

Then there’s the gel liners, the jars and those NYX shadows that I’m so excited about. I will definitely make swatches and (MAYBE?!?) do some mirror project if everything gets successful when I try them. I’m spending so many time watching Michelle Phan and Xteener Videos hopefully I learned from them. LOL. Well, I also have to learn how to take nice pictures when it comes to showing off make up and I hope the lighting in our bathroom will help me take nice photos. :D

ELF-ing

The very first loots I bought from ELF (Eyes.Lips.Face) just four pieces all in $4.00. Yes each only costs a dollar so you can expect that I will get more from them soon. I just had to test the product if it’s good for my skin. You see I have really sensitive skin and even some expensive make ups cause my face to breakout but so far, I’ve used the pressed powder twice and nothing bad happened to my skin, the eyeliner pen, I almost use everyday and I don’t get anything. So, another box is coming from the US maybe around May and I have ELF loots there again. I’m just excited to try more of their products. Of course, I got myself neutral colors, I’m just getting used to putting on make up and I think, subtle is the best way to go. Anyway, I have to go, this senior colleague at work wants to talk to me about her problem on vaginal dryness and she wants to know my OB-Gyne’s clinic so she can ask for an appointment. Caio!
