No to Plastic Bags

I carry around something similar to this in my purse these days…

I really try so hard to be a Mother Earth advocate by not accepting plastic bags when shopping. I bring so many organic bags when going to the grocery as well. My only dilemma is using plastic garbage bags. I still buy those for our trash. I hope I can find a way to totally eliminate plastic in our household. Anyway, it was in the news the other day about our government promoting the no plastic use in all commercial establishments. I hope this will push through!

Lighting in PB

I love Pottery Barn and though we don’t have it here in our country, I always find inspiration in their site. Maybe if we have the chance to live abroad I will get to visit one of their stores and buy a few pieces. If that day will come, I am one happy mommy! Anyway, I want to change our bedroom lighting and there are just too many nice pieces there.

Very unique placed above the bed…

Ikea 2011 Catalog

If only we have Ikea here in the Philippines. Oh well, thank God for friends who can order little items online for us here but too bad since they also have nice big items and they are affordable. So I just get inspirations from their catalogs and now their 2011 is out!

Dining Showcase

My husband was showing me this metal building that his architect friend showed him. It was actually very fascinating, it is the first time I saw such very strong looking structure. I think his architect friend is planning something about building like that, I really can’t understand what they are talking about so I went and just looked at really nice kitchen showcases at Pottery Barn..

I really love dark wood in the dining area…

Contemporary For Home

I love the contemporary items for a home. Usually, it gives more character to a place but that’s just my opinion. I’m more of a modern type of homemaker when it comes to designing a house but of course it is also nice to put a little Asian/Zen inspired pieces at home but when it comes to furniture, I love the contemporary sofas and beds at home. I came across a site that I want my Dad to see, because I think, the attic at their house needs a makeover and if I will be the designer, their furniture will be the first to go. The attic serves as the entertainment area of the house. The television with surround system plus the stationary bike are placed there and I think these three pieces will very much compliment the room plus will be very functional as well…

and a black ottoman like this…

and this white sofa that will accentuate the living space…

I love these pieces and if ever my parents don’t get these for their home, maybe in our dream home, someday we can have these, I know my husband has the same taste like me and we will agree on this one for sure.

Ergonomics and It’s Guide

I’ve been in search for the best way to work at home. I usually sleep early and wake up just on time to go to work. No more time to surf and blog at home actually plus I don’t have the urge most of the time because our workspace is still uninviting if I may call it that plus uncomfortable. I saw some inviting spaces at Decor8blog and they are just very adorable…

Most experts are already promoting about Ergonomics.

It is the the science of designing the job, equipment, and workplace to fit the worker. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which can develop over time and can lead to long-term disability.

There are a few tips here. And to sum it all up here is the scale:
